Introduction

AutoGauge AI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the AutoGauge mobile application on iOS and Android, the AutoGauge Chrome extension, and related websites (together, the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information.

By using AutoGauge, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or sign in to an account, we may collect:

Car Scan Data

When you scan a listing or upload photos, we collect: We use this to run the analysis and to show your scan history.

Chrome Extension

When you use the AutoGauge Chrome extension on facebook.com, it reads the Marketplace listing you have open — title, price, mileage, photos, and the listing URL — so the side panel can show the car and run a scan. It does not read your Facebook messages, friends list, or other Facebook activity. That listing data is sent to our servers only when you start a scan, the same as pasting a URL in the mobile app.

Garage

If you use Garage, we store the vehicles you add, mileage you enter, maintenance logs, and reminder settings so we can show service timing and related alerts.

Location

If you allow location access, we may use your approximate location to improve region-based valuations. A listing you scan may also include a location written on that listing. You can deny or revoke device location in your settings. The App can still work without it, with less location-specific pricing context.

Device and App Permissions

Depending on how you use the App, we may access:

Usage Analytics

We collect product analytics such as: We use this to improve the App. Analytics are tied to an app identifier and may be linked to your account if you are signed in.

Advertising, Attribution, and Tracking

To measure ads and improve marketing (including Meta / Facebook campaigns), we use the Meta (Facebook) SDK and related tools. Depending on your device and permissions, this may involve: You can reset or limit advertising identifiers and tracking in your device settings. Declining tracking does not block core App features. Meta may still receive limited aggregated or SKAdNetwork signals.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Sending advertising identifiers and app events to Meta for campaign measurement can be treated as "sharing" under California law. You can opt out by declining the iOS tracking prompt, limiting your advertising ID, or emailing us.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you buy a subscription or a one-time scan pack:

Error and Diagnostics

We use crash and error reporting to collect technical logs, device type, OS version, and stack traces so we can fix bugs. These reports are used for reliability, not advertising.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive:

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We share information with service providers that help us operate the App, only as needed for their services. These include:

Those providers may use the information only to perform services for us, except Meta, which uses advertising data under its own terms when you allow tracking.

Photos and listing content you submit are sent to our AI and listing-retrieval providers to generate results. We do not sell your photos.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (with notice where required).

Advertising Choices

Turning off tracking or resetting advertising IDs may reduce how well we can measure ads. The App’s core features remain available.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. We use HTTPS/TLS in transit and authenticate API requests. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context advertising.

In the App you can:

You can also email support@autogaugeai.com or use autogaugeai.com/delete-account. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, Google, or Stripe. Deleting your AutoGauge account does not automatically cancel a store or web subscription.

Children’s Privacy

AutoGauge is not intended for anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

International Users

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. By using the App, you understand your information may be transferred to those locations.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and change the “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be noted in the App or on our website. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.
