Delete Your Account and Data

This page explains how to delete your AutoGauge account and the data tied to it.

Option 1: Delete From Inside the App

Open the AutoGauge app
Go to Settings
Tap Delete Account
Confirm the deletion

This deletes the account records we control, as described below.

Option 2: Request Deletion by Email

If you no longer have the app, email us from the address on the account.

We process deletion requests within 30 days and email you when it is done.

What Gets Deleted

Account information — your email address, name, and login credentials
Scan reports stored on our servers for that account
Garage records — vehicles, mileage, and maintenance logs tied to the account
Push notification tokens — so we stop notifying that account

Clearing scan history in Settings only removes scans from that device. Use Delete Account to remove the server copy.

Photos from Facebook link scans are deleted within about 30 days after the scan. Photos you uploaded are removed when we delete the files still tied to the account, or on that same cleanup cycle. Backups and logs may keep a copy for a limited time, then are deleted or overwritten.

What We May Keep

Purchase and transaction records, which we keep for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention, only as long as the law requires. We do not use them to rebuild your account.
Anonymized or de-identified cost and analytics totals that no longer identify you.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription.

iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Web or Chrome checkout: the billing portal from the receipt or checkout page

Cancel there to stop future charges.
